For example Queen Mary which is usually in clearing with a few courses.

I want to apply for international relations which is usually ABB
but do you think they will take BBB in clearing.

I didn't apply to Queen Mary this year because my grades were too low but my January exams were good so I hope to get atleast BBB

Some universities will alter there boundaries if you have other things to offer, such as your personality or extra curricular activities

I think they will but dont bet on it! I know someone who got into Physics at QM with BCD through clearing. But it depends on the circumstances, like in this case, he only got in because of the B grade in maths and a C in Physics.

I noticed that QM was in clearing for e.g. History and Psychology last year, but unlike many universities they didn't state the grades they were looking for. And as others have said, there is no guarantee that your course will have clearing places in any particular year.

Very unlikely - so dont rely on this as a plan.

Many Russell Group or 1994 Group Unis dont put many (or even *any*) places in Clearing.

And - every year and every course is different so dont take 'last year they put xxxx in Clearing and my friend got in with 3 Cs' as a guarantee that you will be able to do the same another year.
