    Hi,

Having thought about the questions we may get asked for Task 1, I've got a suspicion that we'll be asked why we had a control group, and I was wondering whether someone could give me a good textbook answer for this?

I've always thought it was too be able to compare results, and exclude other factors affecting the outcome but maybe I'm wrong?

    Cheers

    1. A group of subjects or conditions that is matched as closely as possible with an experimental group, but is not exposed to any experimental treatment. A control group is used as a standard against which to detect and measure changes that may occur in the experimental group due to experimental treatment.

Don't panic about it, they're not really that difficult, getting worked up about something and questioning what you seem to know is not good
