anyone??

3/8
2. really starting to panic now..I think I've forgotten a lot of integration and c4 stuff..

also, just realised, do we need to know binomial from C2?

I feel as if I'm forgetting everything :/

Hopefully it's us internationals get that kind of paper this time around... I honestly can't bear the thought of me having to do a bog standard paper while you guys get all the interesting stuff
Yeah that C3 paper for internationals was a complete joke really! Such an easy paper in comparison and we'll hog all the interesting stuff, because we then get another Hitler clip on this paper instead

Hi

for cartesian equation

x=3cost ,y = 9sin2t
in the form of y^2= f(x)

are my allowed tp say cos4t = 2(1-2sin^2 2t) ?

and then get

y^2 = (81+9x^2)/4
It should be , not sure where the 2 came from?

Alright so you do the dot product of the first part of the line equation with the direction part, make it equal to zero, find lamda and plug it in to get the co-ordinates?
Yeparooni! (Yes)

No fair
9. hey can someone explain question 7c on the soloman press paper E please

It should be , not sure where the 2 came from?
cause I thought you are doubling?

If we get another paper like C3 lol, 16000 people are going to fail lol so like that's not good and they could ask to integrate x/1+x
12. (Original post by justinawe)
No fair
You just get an easy 100 UMS without any thought, although I'm sure a lot of students would prefer that option

Doubling? What do you mean?
14. it the following correct; tangent to the curve is parallel to the x axis means dy/dx =0
what does tangent to the curve is parallel to the y axis means?

That's only if they panic when looking at the questions, if they kept their calm then I'd imagine a lot more students would've done a lot better and the grade boundaries would've been higher and that's nothing challenging to the majority though as there are 2 approaches to be taken by this, I'm sure you can think of some harder ones

What it the differential of -3 ^ (-x)?

I have -3^(-x) * ln 3 but according to the mark scheme it is positive

Would it not be -3-x(-ln3) ?

I'd rather have the option to still get 100 UMS even if I make silly mistakes

Plus, if it's an easy paper, nearly everyone here will do well, so you'd get even steeper boundaries than if it was a UK paper

it the following correct; tangent to the curve is parallel to the x axis means dy/dx =0
what does tangent to the curve is parallel to the y axis means?

dx/dy = 0

what does tangent to the curve is parallel to the y axis means?

dy/dx is infinte.

Doubling? What do you mean?
cause is cos4t = caouse formula is usually cos2t , so because is 4t i thought u double
