    Hi.

I've moved your thread to Careers (education and teaching).

In terms of educational requirements I believe to become a primary school teacher you need to take a BEd (Bachelor of Education degree) or a BA/BSc degree. This degree must have qualified teaching status.

If you have, or do, a degree without qualified teaching status then you can enter in a number of other ways including doing a PGCE. A PGCE is a two year postgraduate course that will give you qualified teaching status. Ideally your undergraduate degree should be in a core curriculum area (English, Maths, Science) if you want to go into Primary Education although I don't think this is always the case.
