Ok, I bought this tuna-in-a-can (I don't know what you called it lol) a few months ago (probably 8-9 months ago!). According to the expiration date, the tuna will be expired in 2014.

Ok, that's fine, but a very small part of the can (just on the edge) is slightly rusted (brownish); bear in mind, it's just a very small part of the edge. So, is this still still ok for consumption?

If it's ok, I'm planning to use it and put some lemon on top of it; do you think it will last 2-3 days if I keep it in the refrigerator?

It should be fine. Tins are usually coated on the inside with a thin layer of protective metal (forget which metal atm). So long as the can hasn't been dented through this period of time it will be fine.

They usually store it in some kind of vinegar which keeps it safe for years anyway due to the acidic conditions, bacteria can't build up.

Thanks Guru! (somehow, the "guru" part fits the replied thread )

I was thinking the same thing as well but wanted to confirm it with someone first.

It is. Wasn't a happy person seeing I ran out of lemon when preparing the tuna : /

Rarely go to that much effort if I'm just eating tuna, sounds nice though.

Does it make me a tramp if I just eat it out the tin with a fork?

the bad news is the tin is no longer edible.
the good news is the tuna should be fine.

Actually, I find it rather attractive...

Speaking as someone who regularly does this I can confirm it actually makes you at least a hundred times more resplendent than the average person.
