    Labour? Sounds Socialist to me.
It's been bought up in the Government forum so we've all discussed it, but there hasn't been a decision made by any parties as to whether to support such proposals yet - we are still in the early stages here

That's why I'm shopping around to other parties.

I am actually a paying member of the Labour Party in real life, a member of the Fabian Society and a trade union branch secretary.

And I simply cannot put my name behind unilateral nuclear disarmament. I would literally rather be a Conservative (and this is coming from someone who actually puts his money where his mouth is, and pays membership fees for the real Labour Party every month)

As Saoirse:3 said above, it wasn't written in stone, a discussion, but if you want to ask more about how we might differ from RL Labour, I'm happy to answer of your questions on the Labour forum. That might help make up your mind whether or not we are the party you think best suits.

Fair enough, and I appreciate the offer and original invite. To be honest, I think I have seen enough. The TSR Labour Party appears to be inhabited by unilateralists, SWP members and conspiracy theorists.

I simply, fundamentally cannot be part of a party that believes in unilateral nuclear disarmament. As a member of the actual Labour Party, I cannot agree with such a policy, that is not our present policy

Very well, enjoy your time in the House with whichever party you select.

I think we've already booted the Americans.

Only the Tories and Ukip support nukes on here I think.

Some of us in the Liberals, or at least I myself, support nukes as well. That isn't a policy area exclusively of the Right and far Right.

But let us be honest, you are a Liberal only because no other party wants you.

Well actually considering you were a UKIPer until recently, it is fairly certain to say that this is a right wing issue rather than a centre/left issue. I'd be interested to hear from other Liberals on the issue first before taking your statement as fact.

Has anyone said that? No. I'd have been more than welcome to stay in TSR UKIP, but chose not to do so. As to the other parties, I didn't ask. So let's not draw a conclusion based on your hatred. Just a quick point though, if you don't want to post in a courteous manner when speaking to me, then don't post, quote or reply to me at all. It is a lot easier for both of us if you don't do that because frankly your silly little vendetta against me is pathetic and idiotic. Your choice - either be courteous and polite or stick me on ignore. I don't lose any sleep over it either way, but by continuing a vendetta, you are making the MHoC unappealing to outsiders.

Why don't we create a thread called 'Ask Life_Peer and toronto353 about their current relationship status', to avoid even more party threads being derailed by the same gutter press one might find in the Sun's politics section.

Trust me, I'm not intending to reply any further to Life_peer, but I would prefer a consistence response from him - either he ignores me or is polite and courteous, it's not a lot to ask. I don't, however, think that his comment was warranted on a reply which I was giving to Rakas.

Yeah, suggesting that no other party wants you is the paragon of a bloody vendetta that makes this place unappealing to outsiders. I am sure people like Nebelbon, Matt, Bun, etc. were devastated to lose you, dearie.

I was merely expressing an opinion in challenge of your claims concerning unilateral nuclear disarmament and I am certainly not going to refrain from pointing out your unsound arguments and all that false stuff that you write only because you dislike it.

There is nothing impolite about it.

hope it didn't come across as too aggressive/rude, I just wanted to make the point that you're a former UKIPer and we need long time Liberals to respond as then there is a clearer picture than that of a convert. Once again, no disrespect.

Speaking as deputy leader and current acting leader of TSR UKIP, Toronto was made to feel most welcome as a member, just not in a leadership role, and he left voluntarily. I have proof from UKIP threads to prove this!

Not at all - I completely your reasoning and it's a valid argument. I am a newbie here with a big past in TSR UKIP so I'm not going to be the best person to ask, but obviously the question's there so I wanted to respond.

This thread is for questioning the Liberal Party and its policies, not where disagreements should overspill

With regards to Nukes, I don't believe we have a party policy but personally I feel that in a changing global environment it would be foolish to disarm ours whilst states considered to be less trustworthy develop their own.
