I've always thought of you as an Orange Booker rather than a socially liberal Tory - when can we expect to see your name on the defection list?
I certainly have sympathies with the Orange Bookers and Libertarians (i'm probably a tad too radical on tax and spend for the Libs pushing me to the Libers there but i agree with the moderation of the Libs on public vs private ownership, immigration and many civil liberties) however on issues like education, defense, drugs, euthanasia, health and foreign policy i'm substantially conservative and could probably fit with Ukip.

So overall i think the mix puts me in the right place with the Tories, i couldn't stand an essentially pacifist foreign policy in particular.

Is Qwertish's leadership in doubt within Conservative circles, then?
Not at all, he was my preferred successor. Of course if his leadership comes to end while my tenure here is still ongoing then i would be prepared to do what i could to ensure a preferred candidate was his successor (or to keep somebody out).

Shame to see The Financier go, we identified in many policy areas, and I believe that leaves me as the last pro-Palestein Conservative.

Ah, fair enough - never hurts to be prepared I guess.

His leadership isn't in doubt, he has the full support of the party and the mandate to govern as he sees fit.

Rakas21's comments seem to refer to the distance future when the time comes for Qwertish to step down which won't be for a long time yet but one day once his studies are over and real life becomes number one, we all have our own ideas for succession and it's nothing the party has to worry about as Qwertish is here with us to stay for quite some time yet

Is there any way we can contact them about this? It's frankly turning into a bit of a nightmare and in combination with the issues with the Mass PM during the election the whole thing seems farcical right now.

    Hey QC,

Please could you look into amending the subforum privileges for the new MHoC government? The Government subforum should also be accessible to the Liberals usergroup.

Edit: To clarify, it should be accessible to these three usergroups only: TSR Labour Party, TSR Liberal Party and TSR Green Party.

    Hi there.

Firstly we have only broadly defined economic views, but I believe this would help us respond in crisis.

Generally we want to see a market-led economy, but we want to see a strong Government capable of effectively distributing wealth, protecting resources and workers, preventing monopolies and taking a lead role in boosting infrastructure development. To add to this, we want to see sensible and balanced public spending to protect future generations from a lifetime of debt.

    Liberal Party Statement

MacDaddi is currently quite busy with real-life business, so I'm going to be taking over as Acting Leader of the TSR Liberal Party on an interim basis. Please make sure that until further notice, any communications intended for the party are sent to me - and of course I will as ever be very happy to answer any general questions you have for us on this thread!

    Thanks,
    Green_Pink.
