Humane ways to kill wasps

i think there is a nest near my flat because this is the 5th wasp we've caught in 3 days  i always catch them in a glass because i dont like to anger them by trying to hit them or antyhing, but what do i do with them after:confused:

i dont like to let them go cos they are evil little critters but i dunno the best/fastest way to kill them. I just flushed one down the toilet but if anyone has any better methods i'd love to know....

thanx

i took a massive one down yesterday with a pad of paper...but i don't suppose that was very humane as i had to finish it off

i'm sure if you just squash it with something they must die pretty instantly

1) Catch them and place them in a container in a fridge
2) After a few hours they will have fallen asleep, then attach a piece of string to them with superglue creating a wasp on a string
3) Attach the string to a long stick, now you can annoy people with it

Okay maybe its not 100% humane but its better than letting a cat bite its wings off and then play with it like mine does

:toofunny: brilliant!! i could make a squad of them.... do you reckon i could train them to do synchronised flying or tricks? or i could set their tails on fire and be like the red arrows....

didn't you want to be humane?

surely that's just exploitative

while you're at it get some flies as well and have them fight each other

No obviously they have to sign contracts first
well i started out wanting to be humane but that sounds much more fun (insert evil laugh here)!

no but seriously, im not a huge fan of killing anything...i bought a venus flytrap to deal with flies but these wasps are too big for it. i cant whack them, my aim isnt that good and they just get angry and malicious!

Put them in a see through container that you can apply heat to using a blow torch. Apply flames while watching the little devil go mental trying to escape. Awesome
hehe you cruel people! I'm not bothered cos i hate wasps evil little blighters i love the idea about a wasp on a stick lol! ill have to try that some time
Whack them, with something large, and heavy. They'll just try to sting you otherwise, horible little beasts.
linx + a lighter?
I'm terrified of wasps, I think we have a nest near us too so I keep Raid fly and wasp spray and a swatter in my room all the time!! They seem to die in a few minutes if you squirt them lots.
they don't deserve a humane death, they deserve a slow, tortured one

... i'm not goint to say i agree with that... but
Aye! Kill the buggers! I;m allergic and can't stand the things. Our school has a nest in it somewhere, so really awful. No joke, we had wasps over an inch long and really really massive (I thought it might have been a hornet). Apparently if you spray them loads with a fast drying hairspray it paralyses them. I don't really want to try anything at all in case it goes wrong and it's still alive :frown:
