Hi, how did everyone find it? was a better than Jan 2013 apart from questions 5 and 7.

what did u get for the calculation

    1) 2.something and 4.something for the HCLO and metrhanoic

    2) was 13.60 for NaOH

    3) the last one , the methaoic and sodium hydroxide I got pH 3.99

    4) for the co2 thing i got 5. something x 10 power something
for the first one, pH of HCL i got something like 0.85??? but i got 4.something for HClO
    2)same as you
    3)same
4)can't remember but it was probably wrong...

got to say i found this paper terrible, i just wasn't prepared enough, the last question i fished for marks because i got totally stuck, couldn't work out the pH of the buffer, the complexes question was horrible and i don't think i got the electrodes with cl2 right at all
hopefully going to max F324 need that A!

    yes!

cause I used the detaH value, it required a bit of F322 knowledge!

The Ph question on methanoic acid and NaOH I got 3.99?
Well I messed that up I think, I used the concentrations of them as 1000cm3 instead of 200 and 800, so I got something like 4.2

yes thats what I got! 0.85 and 4.something

I think , 4) was correct because I did solve it using deta H and the energy

I did the energy in energy of the co2 divided by the x = the deta h

SO GOT THE MOLES AND DID Mass= 44 x vale of moles to get mass

That paper got progressively harder! The first questions were dead nice then the more I did the worse it got. Didnt even know what to do for the last question. My chance of an A and medicine gone.

but wasn't it 6 moles of CO2 in the equation?? wouldn't you multiple 44 by 6 or someything???

Yes. I didn't do this, and feel stupid now because I got the harder questions fine.

cause deta H was in Kjmol-1 and the energy of co2 was Kj

so I used the theory of the energy in Kj divided by the moles = the energy of co2

    and then do Mr= Moles x 44

I definitely got a number in the 2000's for delta G, and +218 for glucose?:/
