    Hi,
I'm in my first year but unhappy with my course, so I contacted my University, applied to change courses and was given an unconditional offer which I accepted and am starting this September.

My question is, can I just apply for student Finance as a new student like I did last year, or do I need to ring up and state I'm changing and give details etc?

Any help will be appreciated thank you.

    Hi DJB,

Your university should inform us that you are withdrawing from your present course.

As you're starting a new course entirely then yes you should apply for your student finance as a new student again.

    Hope this helps,
    Mark-Lee
