I really can't decide between Manor hall, Winkworth House and Richmond terrace for accommodation at University of Bristol. My main priorities are to be not too far from the city in the most sociable atmosphere as possible!

If anyone could give me the pros and cons of these accommodation that would be great

    Thank you!

ahh I'm in the same situation! Leaning towards Manor Hall since it's bigger and will be newly refurbished for 2013 undergrads, but still tempted to put Richmond first since its guaranteed en suite and more competitive... so difficult to decide!

Either way I suppose they're in similar locations and you definitely get the benefits of living in clifton, nearer the university and right by all the pubs, bars and shops!

I'm at Bristol and I would say definitely go for Manor out of them. I know a lot of people who were in the student houses or smaller accommodation like Winkworth House/St Micheals Hill and found it hard to make friends as there were so few people to meet and so smaller chance of finding someone you click with. I also know a lot of people from the city centre ones, including Unite and Colston Street, found it really hard to make friends.
The main halls- Badock, Hiatt Baker, University, Wills, Churchill, Durdham (in Stoke Bishop) and Goldney, Manor, CHH (in Clifton) are the best and safest options where you will have the best chance of making good friends and not finding it horrifically lonely or dull. These key halls attract the socialable types who want the a good uni experience balancing fun with work.
