Vorrei tanto poter lavorare in campi estivi all'estero ...

Und ich speche also kein Französisch, so was kann man jetzt tun!? :L
Und ich spreche also1 kein Französisch, also was kann man jetzt tun2!?

1 do you want to say thus or as well? You have thus at the moment.
2 I'm not sure the German so can be used like that, so I put also in.You could use aber instead. I don't know which is better.

If you just use was, remember that was is subordinating when it's used as a conjunction, just like wo.

YOU KNOW THAT 'speche' is not the kind of produce a prospective AS German student is (consciously) verantwortlich for! I blame my touch screen iPod Hmmm yes the 'so' does look out of place there, and the first 'also' might be a spoken language thing, aber das weiß ich nicht sicher!

I know they're not interchangeable denn zum Beispiel: "Es war keine Freude, dich zu sehen!" That one just wouldn't sound right with 'du' ><
