Kommt es nicht auf die Suppenarten an? Wenn die Suppe in Schüssel ist, isst man sie (mit Brot) , aber einige Suppe im Becher wird getrunken.

Nur in England. Wenn sie eine Brühe ist, also nur mit Flüssigkeit und gar nichts anderes, dann kann man sie trinken.
Die Mehrheir der Leute hier in Suedwestengland, scheinen mir sehr gesprächig zu sein!

in allgemein, I think. Sounds wrong with a das.

Also: aber wenn man so schuetern wie ich ist. I think. "But if one is as shy as me" is what you meant, right? The verb needs to agree with the man.

Ich dachte, dass wir in Suedengland mürrisch und nicht gesprächig waren!

Yessss, that's what I was trying to say !! :tongue:

From now on I shall refrain from mental Dutch to German transliteration! (especially since my Dutch "foundation" concists mainly of "speak" language, and is therefore improper language anyway!) It just doesn't seems to work out! :rolleyes:

Haa if you think that's the case then you should visit East Anglia! When cashiers start being friendly and making conversation woth you...people would pull a "wth" face!! xD

I thus conclude you should have said, "ein gutes Ding"!
omg it's English as well! Surely it decends from the Anglo-saxon side of our wonderful language
