Got it by: being incredible flexible, very available and happy to do any overtime 'as and when'.

Had to give it up to focus on my third year at uni, and was struggling to fit my uni work around 20-30 hours at work, with at least 2 hours per day travelling time! It's a shame because I loved that job!

I found it on an apprenticeships website after looking for months and months for a job after leaving college. They called me in for an interview the next day and they told me I'd got the job on the spot. Been there for 11 months now.
I work in Insurance increasing the company's awareness via social media, as well as having a general admin role there.

I first got the role through my boyfriend's dad :colondollar:, but they thought I was pretty social media savvy and that's why my role has expanded to incorporate that.

This isnt a part time/temp job but it's still relevant..

Job: Creative Technologist
How did you get it?
Worked on redesigning my CV and portfolio website in the December ready for January (key timing).

Submitted my profile to job sites and submitted my CV to a phew job postings. I soon realised that although you never get a job like that because everyone applies to the same job the recruiters put you to the side if anything else comes up and so your be the first to know. This got me 2 interviews.

Search for and compiled a list of loads of digital agencies I wanted to contact and then went down the list of emailing every company. This got me 3 interviews.

Talked to a phew old co-workers and asked if they had any jobs going in their new companies. This got me 1 interview.

I ultimately chose one of the jobs offered from a recruiter. It wasn’t a job that was posted online so I wasn’t competing with anyone at the time so I guess I was just lucky in that respect. I also realised that although recruiters are annoying at times when it came to salary negotiations they handled that for me and acted like an agent. They managed to negotiate my salary up 2k to what I was expecting.
Job: Face painter at Warwick Castle
How I got it: applied online using job site plus (the gov one) and they called me one day after I thought I'd never hear back from them, I went for a 10 minute interview and then they phoned me back a week later and.... that's it
