    Hey everyone!
(Only just signed up to TheStudentRoom, so I'm getting used to how everything works!)

Who has applied for the Computer Science BSc Course?
And who has accepted the course?
(I have firmed Lancaster as my No.1 place)

Just looking forward to hopefully getting to know some people before we all head down on October 1st!

Apart from Lancaster, I also have two offers from York , Nottingham. It's so difficult to decide which one to go.

Have you applied to Durham too (I originally wanted to but couldn't.) ?

I have also had an offer from Nottingham and Durham yeah, but after looking into the course structure a little more, and going to open days at both, I've decided that Lancaster is for me!

I have received an offer from Lancaster but not firmed yet as I am still waiting on some more applications to come back!

Between Kent and Lancaster so far though!

Will I have any problems applying for the college's etc late?
I gather quite a few have already firmed and applied for what college they want to go to!

Yeah like Tish said, accommodation & colleges aren't up for grabs until June so you have plenty of time to decide still!

JAVA, C++... get software eclipse and/or net-beans. Learn MYSQL. And you will stroll. And if you know all of this then you're prepared and dandy!

*sigh* do not tell people to start on C++... Are you trying to put them off programming? C++ is a very hard language to learn if it's your first one.

Start on java or something. C is ok bit can be a pain. You don't need specialist software. Notepad++ is alot easier to use for beginners than netbeans or eclipse.
