# edexel core 2 as math watch

1. a brooch has the shape of a sector of a circle of radius 4 cm. the perimeter of the brooch is 11 cm. calculate the area of the brooch. help please don't you need size of an angle to work it out.

You can find the angle from the information given

The perimeter is the distance all the way around the brooch and is 11cm, the radius of the circle is 4 cm so you can deduce the arc length
From that you can work out the angle and hence the area
