I do take a glass with me to bed, but not water. Wine.
That will stress and dehydrate you. Not a good idea.

I take a standard Volvic sized bottle. By the time I wake up, this will be gone.

It's a habit which has developed over a couple of years. I drink water whilst sleeping about every 3 hours. Not a bad habit in my opinion, nothing wrong with water. Yes it disturbs my sleep but half the time I can't remember that I drank it. It's like unconscious.

I saw on one of those comic TV advert shows that some Swedish company started marketing a water called Reknaw, until some English person mentioned what it meant in reverse....

A bottle, not a glass, otherwise all the dust or whatever will settle on the water in the exposed glass during the hours you're asleep.

I find that it helps me relax. Although I feel depressed the next day. Boo.

I do it every night but I've used a bottle since that night when I somehow managed to tip an entire cup of water over my own head while I was still half asleep.
I'm sorry; but this made me laugh. Not like I can talk anyway - I do sometimes tip water over myself (not a full glass, mind!) when wake.

I usually have a bottle of water. Never a cup. Mum said that when she was younger, she used to take a glass of water to bed with her and there was a spider in the glass.

Yep, always check in that glass by your bedside if any small creatures have drowned themselves in it during the night. Otherwise they are gritty between the teeth when you take a sip.
