I'm currently doing an investigation regarding hydrogen peroxide concentration and rate of reaction (using catalase as the catalyst). I wanted to plot a michaelis-menten graph but I my graph of [S] against Vo only shows a first order relationship, no horizontal asymptote. I've resorted to a line weaver plot but my x-intercept is positive. Any ideas as to why this is the case? Is the problem my data?

Have you definitely plotted things the right way around, plotted the right things and drawn a line of best fit? It's difficult to say without looking at the data and what you've done.

It was my results. When I drew the line of best fit using all my results the line wasn't great, but if I only use 3 results my line crosses the y axis at 0.26 and x axis at -3.2 so I'm happier now! Thanks anyway
