Maybe Mourinho is looking to go for the unorthodox 1-8-1 system?
I don't know tbh. How can we give all these guys sufficient game time? As I outlined earlier we'll have quite a lot of depth in midfield - both centrally and attacking wise. Maybe we could sell some of the weaker ones to other clubs? Moses is good but not up to the level of our others - and Everton were interested in him.
Still have Chalobah and Aké too as DMs.
With Oscar, some have been saying that he isn't the type of player to fit into Mourinhos plans. If Mourinho does intend to work with him, then perhaps it'll be in the CM role? If we switch to a 4-3-3 then we could utilise the central ones okay but then up front we'll have to play with 2 wingers.
One setup could be:
--Hazard---Lukaku---Schurrle
--Van Ginkel--De Bruyne
----------David Luiz-------------
or we could just shift Luiz back into the CBs and use Romeu or something?
Then we could switch to a 4-2-3-1 next time and have:
-----Striker-------
--Hazard--Oscar/KDB--Mata
--KDB/Oscar---De Rossi/Romeu----
With some of the lesser ones (like Moses) playing in the weaker games? Lampard is good for experience but can't really play the full 90 mins - and should be brought on as a sub. We also have Essien too... perhaps to RB permanently then?
But then we still have Ramires who Mourinho's really fond of. And, like I said, the youth/academy players because Abramovich asked Mourinho to try and put some in the squad. Sure it's been said here before but it'd be really good if we had B teams, so these youngsters can get some experience and then come in when some of the older ones slow down and become squad players.
Yeah good idea. We've got a lot of playmaking in the Mata and Hazards like I said before so perhaps it isn't a necessity. Lol if we manage to get Wilshere though. Hope to sell Mikel -- forgot about him.
In other news, we're trying to get Ruddy from Norwich for 10m?! What the hell? I'd rather use Blackman if we want an english player.
