Forgot we have the International Champions Cup afterwards. That'll be good. Got Inter then Milan/Valencia, and if we get past 'em, we get to play Juventus/Real Madrid :teeth:

Traore is a great player. Great potential that we have if we can hold onto him.

Imagine five years time even if we don't buy anymore attacking players.

    Courtois

    Wallace Chalobah Luiz Bertrand

    Van Ginkel/Mceachren

    Oscar Mata/Hazard Piazon/Traore

    Lukaku/Feruz

Think Piazon works better as the ST tbh but that still looks very good.

Regardless, a good player would have gotten that in.

Moses is playing pretty well and Hazard looks sharp.
I’d actually forgotten about Moses. I always thought he was a decent player, but isn’t he looking a bit redundant now that we’ll have KdB and Schurrle on top of Hazard, Oscar and Mata?

Traore should be given chance to be play some first team football next season. He can be a great player. No point wasting potential by loaning year after year.

So how many goals do you think we'll score? My guess is 7-1.

Those of you who said Ramires would flourish in a 4-3-3 were right. Wonder if we'll see more of it or if it was only because Mata's away.

    ..............Mikel/Essien..............
    Ramires/MVG....Lampard/Oscar

Ramires and MVG would rotate well as box-to-box players, whereas Lampard and Oscar could attack the edge of the penalty area and play others in. One of Mikel/Essien to hold.

    RW: Mata and KdB
    LW: Hazard and Schurrle

Could be a good system to use?

TBF it was against incredibly weak opposition.

Lol, I wouldn't want to embarrass them like we did last time (Lambert must've felt awful after that) -- although they did do a lot better the following time. Strengthened well this season too.

Just a minor rumour -- we're after some Brazilian kid named Doria. He's a CB and is meant to be really promising... apparently. We seem to be buying a lot of youngsters.

It doesn't matter, he still has to do the right things. Like his second goal, it wasa great shot whether it's against Indonesia or Barcelona. Ramires is a quality player, he just didn't havea great season last year.

Personally I don't think he fits our new system. Which involves less defending and running around and more technical ability, that's not to say he's useless, he's a man we definitely need in the side. But the problem is fitting him in the side. On the right he's only useful if we're facing very attacking fullbacks like jordi alba that we exploit on the counter. In the middle he's good in a 4-3-3 or when we're on the backfoot in some shape of form due to his determination.

With more technical players the only argument I can have for ramires is his energy and work rate.

Great performances in Asia, now onto Inter.

That will be an interesting game.
