Guy giving mixed signals? Watch

I went out on a date with a guy last week and it went really well. Beforehand we'd been texting a lot too. He kissed me at the end of the date, told me straight afterwards that he wanted to meet up again and said we should go somewhere nicer etc, and basically just seemed really keen.

But since then over the weekend he's been a bit distant/flaky and hasn't replied much to my texts - I know he's been busy doing other things, he told me last week he didn't have much free time this week, but surely if he was interested then he'd at least make conversation or reply? I texted him again today to ask when he wanted to meet up, he replied saying he did want to, but hasn't replied since then. He seems less enthusiastic now, too.

Should I just give up on it? It just seems weird to me that even after the date he was fine, until a day or so later. Ugh!

As a guy, I don't wasn't to seem "overly interested" as the last thing I want to do is put the girl off - so I may sometimes come across a little distant - I know, odd you said he was busy so maybe he hasn't had time - but the fact that he still wants to meet up is a good sign!

I suppose so we've agreed what day we're next going out and where last night, but no specifics of what time! I don't want to appear desperate/overly interested either tbh, because it's not like my life depends on it, it'd just be nice to go out again - so I'm reluctant to text him to find out! But I suppose if it gets to the day and I haven't heard from him, then I'll have to do. I keep having this horrible feeling that he only agreed to go out again because he felt bad saying no, hahaha.
