make sure your mirror checks are patronisingly obvious. Instructors love that.

I think the best advice I was given is if you make a mistake do NOT give up. Examiners can be lenient an forgive certain errors if you do well overall. I got asked to pull over at the side of the road and bumped up with both tyres onto the curb, I thought id failed as Id made other mistakes too like turning a 3.turn into a 5 point turn. At the end he said id passed and that id been given the benefit of the doubt, he classed the mistakes as minors.

Another thing to help stop you getting anxious is to just think of it as a lesson, whats the worst that can happen? You can always repeat the test as many times as you want to! Money is your only barrier.

Let us know how you go on..

Not tryin to worry you, but its really, really nerve-wrecking.

The examiner sits in the passenger seat watching your every move and ticking off boxes for any little mistake you make.

You have to absolutely drive 100% perfect or you will fail.

Also, its worse if your'e nervous. They can sense it. They don't want to let a nervous driver loose on the road with a car.

Nervousness is another thing they can fail you for. And if the examiner just doesn't like the look of you, he can fail you for any little thing he wants.

    Anyways ... Good luck!

    What a load of *******s.

Op - good luck! Try to keep your nerves stable, and even if you think you've done something silly, don't give up!
