I have a BA degree already but I am looking to improve my employment prospects by studying a different subject. I will be looking to do a FdSc and possible upgrade it later to the full BSc. The institution I have applied for suggested they may be a loop hole for Student Loans for foundation degrees. I didn't have a loan for my first degree. Does anyone know if I could get funding this time around?

    Hi Guiness,

Unfortunately you won't be eligible to receive any student finance as you already hold a degree qualification.

If you wish to study an NHS course as a second degree then you will be eligible to receive a reduced rate maintenance loan as NHS courses are exceptions to the general rule.

    Thanks,
    Mark-Lee
