I have recently recieved a new Flex Account Visa Debit Card to replace my Cash Card +.

I also have been sent one of the little card readers for when I do online banking.

I have previously used online banking but I had to put in my memorable data and some numbers from the number they sent me.

I have tried to use the card reader but in the tutorial it says when I put in my customer number, it should automatically come up with the card reader page, but mine still comes up with the memorable data page.

Do I have to activate the card reader or do anything to let them know I have received it so they can activate it? The accompanying letter says it doesn't need to be activated, but I can work out how to access the card reader page on the nationwide website?

I am literally in exactly the same boat. And only found your thread because it came up when I googled my question.

There doesn't seem to be any way to activate it does there?

Maybe it just takes while to twig that you have the reader? to allow for the postal service?

    No idea.

Yeah, I thought they may wait a while till it starts to work, but wouldn't they state that in the letter? (You'd think they would say the card reader will become active 1 week after the date on this letter or something!)
