I'm supposed to have my driving test tomorrow afternoon but I got an email last week to tell me that driving examiners are going on strike. It says I am supposed to turn up in case some examiners don't take part. Has anybody else taken their driving test during a strike or has it always been cancelled?

Many people have, and many people have had it cancelled.

As the email says, you should turn up as usual on the off-chance your examiner is present and can take you out. If you don't show, then you'll lose your fee.

If you're one of the unlucky ones, you'll have your test rebooked automatically at no cost to you. You will also be able to claim out of pocket expenses for attending.
