hi, i was jst wondering whether transtion metals react with silver nitrate to form precipiates or different coloured solutions etc.

or do they not react with silver nitrate and its no visible change?

also if they did react with silver nitrate then what would the formula of the ion have to be? would an anion like cl-, br-, i- have to be present in the complex for it to react with the silver nitrate and form a precipitate?

what other types of anions or elements would be present in the complex for a precipitate/ coloured solution to form?

if someone could post an example that would be great

    thanks in advance
