    Hello everybody

I'm a EU student but I have applied to study in the UK through UCAS. Today I received an e-mail from one of the universities I have applied to (London South Bank University) inviting me to attend the applicant day which is tomorrow. The thing is I couldn't book a place on that day because it said that the registration is already closed. So of course I won't be attending this day. My question is, will my application process be affected in any way if I don't attend the day?

No. These events are mainly for applicants to have a look around and to see the uni. If they need to interview you then they will understand that you cannot at such short notice and should offer an alternate day, or something different like a telephone/skype interview.

No, your application won't be effected. I'd also ring them up as 9 times out of 10 you don't even need to register before hand - there will be staff there to register people there and then on the day! Good luck.

I have applied to the Journalism and Fashion Marketing and Journalism at London Metropolitan University (which I know doesn't have a very good reputation, but I don't care about that) and also Magazine Publishing at the London College of Communication.
The ones I'm really looking forward to get into are the Fashion Marketing and Journalism and Magazine Publishing.

And you, what courses have you applied to?

Excellent mate. I wouldn't worry too much about 'reputation'... Sometimes this can be a geographical thing, for instance - I couldn't tell you the difference between there and Lincon?! I chose to go to Glasgow, which I think has a good reputation - others might not! It's whatever suits you .

I've went for Business/Management across my unis (Glasgow, Aberdeen, Stirling & Caledonian x2). Got 5/5 offers but firmed Glasgow and put Aberdeen as my insurance .

    Good luck
