Nick Clegg attacked on air over childcare reforms watch

I don't get why this policy is being brandish as an insult to stay at home mothers by the traditionalists. To anyone else it's blatantly obvious you don't need help with your childcare when you aren't working. If you're a stay-at-home-mum who's paying for their kids childcare you aren't a stay-at-home-mum.

If as a family you can live off one income, then you don't need any extra help. Should she be trying to get a job and need some cash in the meantime then that's understandable, but as you say, she's made a decision to not work and instead stay at home. Raising children is not a job, and if you feel it is then you shouldn't have had children.
Do you agree with the proposed ban on plastic straws and cotton buds?
