no they are not lenient and if you choose to come to northumbria if you expect the lecturers to be lenient then you are in for a huge shock. law is not an easy degree, lecturers are understanding but they are not lenient. it's law not under water basket weaving. i'm sure they'd be helpful if you approached them but when your in a lecture, the lecturer comes does the lecture then goes, no one really asks questions at the end, as you it slows everything down and people get annoyed. uni is a big step up from any previous education that you have done... so it really takes time to get used to.
hmmm.... imo. i suppose, it is subjective for each person. first year especially you are trying to get to grips with the material... it's a whole different game so if you want a 2.1 in first year you really have to step up and work from the beginning because there is a ton to learn.
the year group is huge around 350 of us altogether a ton of people have dropped out so its probably less now.
yeah the drop out rate for law is huge, especially in the first year.
