Hi all, I am a very mature PGCE candidate of mid thirties and am working full time as a solicitor. I am worried about the fact that I don't have heaps of education experience and have only been able to get a week in a school (due to not being able to take holiday) before applying for my PGCE primary a few weeks ago (I do have more lined up however). Is that likely to mean that I won't get an interview as I can't 'prove' my desire to be a teacher and of course my degree is not related to the curriculum.....? Any other solicitor turned PGCE primary teachers about?

Or any other people out there who haven't had much/any education experience due to working in another profession?
