    Hi,
I have plans to come to United Kingdom for my masters degree.
I have selected Northumbria University for my Masters in Management course. My basic query is about the accommodation, wherein i heard that if i go in for private accommodation, apart from the rent there will be many other things that i will have to pay separately few being electricity, gas, insurance, heat, internet.
    i have two questions,
    1) Which would be better on campus accommodation or private accommodation?
    2) If i choose Private accommodation, what is the average per month expense that i will incur after paying my rent.
Will be highly helpful for me if I get a reply soon.
    Thanks for the same.

    1) It depends how much money you are willing to spend, overall the campus is usually cheap as they include heating, water, electricity, sometimes TV license (Make sure you check), some include food if you are lucky. A disadvantage is that you may end up living with someone you don't get a long with. With private accommodation it would be a little more expensive when you add on the cost of the utilities, but this allows you to choose who you live with sometimes if you know some mates here. Another option is house sharing if you get a group of people together.

2)I cannot personally say for Northumbria Uni how much, but I've seen some good ones around at about £110 a week.

I'm not sure about international students, but are you getting student finance? This could help with the costs (maintenance loan for living).

Overall I'm sure you will enjoy studying in the UK which ever way you choose
