I will start the IB diploma next year, witht he following subjects:

    HL Maths
    HL English Lit
    HL Chemistry
    HL Economics

    SL Portuguese Lang + Lit
    SL History

Being aware that I am choosing a very demanding combination of subjects, I decided I wanted to go into the IB with a head start, and start preparing myself for it.
So with this in mind, what are the things I can do to prepare myself for the subjects I will take?
And also, are there any particular books I should read for History or Economics, that would help me prepare for the IB and get a wider knowledge of the subject?
