postgraduate Occupational Therapy entry requirement watch

    • Thread Starter

Im applying to the MsC Occupational Therapy course at Essex University. The entry requirements on the website says 2.1 or above in a relevant subject.

I graduated in 2010 with a 2.1 in Early Chilhood and Education Studies. Im really worried that this is not relevant enough to be considered.

Since graduating Ive completed a university award in Psychology and a diploma in Counselling Skills and Studies. Ive also been volunteering in a hospital helping feeding the elderly, as a helper in a mental health housing complex and as a befriender with the mental health charity Mind.

Im currently still trying to gain shadowing experience but all Ive managed to get is a meeting with an independant OT for an informal chat.

Im just wondering if anyone has got onto a post grad course with a degree that isnt directly relevant? Or ant other advice would be much appreciated.

Do you agree with the proposed ban on plastic straws and cotton buds?
