Well basically my dad is a software developer and he works in small company that nobody has heard of called meta. His income is £32,000 a year and now he is offically overdrawn with quite a few 10,000s.
Me and the rest of the family want him to work in a company that is well known and highly paid but he says he doesn't want to because it is hard work. This causes me and my mum to stress because she is going to start a 3 year course for nursing and £500 will be cut off her income, so we need more money.
But the problem is that he doesn't want to do any hard work. I have even tried to talk to him about helping him search for jobs but he just refuses to talk about it at all. We all know he can do it it's just that he doesn't even want to try. He knows that everything is hard at first but if you keep doing it, it'll become easier.

What shall i do to make him earn more in some way?

    Thank you for any help.

He is scared of change, thats what the problem is. If you really are in financial trouble then make an excel sheet with your income and your expenses. make it clear and organized and show how much you are left out of pocket. if you cant pay for bills then you have to take action into your own hands and exclude ur father if he refuses to help and that will make him want to work harder to provide and be included

The problem you have is if he doesn't want to change his job and he's happy there then 9 times out of 10 he won't..
You need to be careful about how much you pressure him into changing jobs because it might have the opposite effect and make him more determined to stay where he is now..
