Hi everyone, for my English I have to do a debate in groups on a topic of our choice. I want to come up with an original idea that people would find interesting rather than the usual topics people go for such as Abortion. Aiming to get as many ideas as possible on a list!
    Thank you :-)

Should religious freedoms grant exemptions from common law?
Is the current Animal Slaughter industry grossly inhumane and cruel?
Is the British Justice system flawed?
Is the average voter informed enough to allow for democracy to properly function?
Should prison be a punishment or a center of rehabilitation?
Do we need a large Standing Army in the modern day political and technological climate?
Should Soldiers automatically deserve "respect" for the job they do?

Or if you want to go really out there you can hit topics such as

Is immigration a genuine economic problem?
Does opposition to immigration make you racist?
    Should Polygamy be legal?
Should we ban Alcohol and Tobacco, instead of focusing on issues such as trying to Legalize Marijuana?

I mean there are loads, need any more?
