    Definitely helps.
Whole of the last 2 years of science lessons have been dominated by "Your best mark counts." That changes a lot as it means I can resit my 81 ums P1 without any worries!!!

    PS: Your not joking? :-)

No of course i'm not joking! If you resit your P1 and get 57UMS D grade, it won't matter as you'll get 81UMS A grade, as your best grade counts...

My Chem ISA was on self-heating cans if I remember, Physics on Hook's Law and Bio on Osmosis and diffusion in a Potato.
What were your results? I done the same ones as you, other than bio ( I done photosynthesis).

I got full marks in all, other than bio (44 (98 UMS))

Your best grade does not count? Your latest grade will be the one you will keep from what I have been told:confused:

I'm sure it is, there is a lot of emphasis of it in my school. However, they might just be wrong.

    From the spec:

"The better result for each unit (resit) will count towards the
final qualification provided that the 40% rule is
    satisfied."

    40% rule is, I think:

"The 40% terminal rule for GCSE means that 40% of
the assessment must be taken in the examination
series in which the qualification is awarded."

So unless I misread, apparently your best mark does count.

Your best mark does count even with the 40% rule as you do 75% examination and 25% CA in the form of the ISA. Doing you re sit and do worse it doesn't matter as your better grade counts

44 is equivalent to an a* 100 UMS unless you have been told otherwise

The 40% thing is completely true for everyone, coursework counts 25% of the final mark and we all have the final exam (P3,B3,C3) to complete which means that in fact, 50% is sat in the final series

I can help with the biology ISA, if you tell me what's it on . Your physics is brilliant and so is your chemistry, your biology is good aswell
