I am planning on doing a Law degree - AAA offer for both, like both uni's but am a bit worried about how new the York Law School is - Warwick's reputation seems a lot better!

    Anyhow anyone with any advice?

I doubt the difference in reputation is substantial enough to be the deciding factor. From what I've heard, the only reason York does not seem to have the same reputation for Law as other universities is because the course is so new. (Granted, Warwick, is a relatively new institution too.)

Interestingly, when we look at league tables, the Guardian places York 5 for Law, and Warwick 8. Meanwhile, Warwick is 6 in the Complete University Guide and York 12. As you can see, both have fantastic reputations; a couple of places won't make that much difference and will probably change slightly year and year. Of course, league tables should be taken with a pinch of salt, but what I'm trying to say it is more important to look at the course and what suits you, as there is not much separating them in terms of reputation.
Do you think parents should charge rent?
