Simply simplifie this for me................And come out with 10n"

2. Are you sure that's right?

10+30n-30+10n-10n-20+20 = 30n - 20 :/.

10+30n-30+10n-10n-20+20 = 30n - 20 :/.

Try from here then.............

10+30n-30+10(n-1)(n-2)20

Try from here then.............

10+30n-30+10(n-1)(n-2)20

10 + 30n - 30 + 200(n^2 - 3n + 3)

= 200n^2 - 570n + 580 ???
5. (Original post by Nylex)
10 + 30n - 30 + 200(n^2 - 3n + 3)

= 200n^2 - 570n + 580 ???

a+(n-1)+half(n-1)(n-2)c

10+(n-1)30+half(n-1)(n-2)20
10+30n-30+10(n-1)(n-2)20 ????????????

sorry

10+(n-1)30+half(n-1)(n-2)20
10+30n-30+10(n-1)(n-2)20
Where does that 10 come from in the last bit?

Is your top line meant to be: 10 + (n - 1)30 + 0.5(n - 1)(n - 2)20 ?

=> 10 + 30n - 30 + 10(n^2 - 3n + 3)

=> 10n^2 + 10

There is a sequence 10, 40, 90, 160, 250
30 50 70 90
20 20 20

The equatation given was:

a+(n-1)+0.5(n-1)(n-2)c

it is 15 years since i did maths and i am completely lost sorry
