    Hey,

I'm going uni this September and I'm worried about certain stuff I depend on:

    Contacts.

    Mobile.

I've been looking into Laser eye surgery to save money for uni and of course the future, it's 30 quid per month for me due to being mixed race, my eyes are a different shape requiring contacts to accommodate them.

I have glasses but I hate depending on them, if I lose them everything is blurry, I can see up close perfectly and can still see without them but I can't see very far, what if I break them? Another 75 quid down the drain.

And my mobile, I'm paying 20 quid per month and an extra 10 for insurance. It's a two year contract and will cost even more just to cancel it, but I depend on my i Phone for internet research and keeping contact with my family.

I looked on GiffGaff as I was recommended it but I'm sure, do they do sim cards for iPhones? Do I need a special contract for it?

How long have you got left to go on your 2 year iphone contract? No point in getting a GiffGaff sim until after the minimum contract period has ended. Once it has ended then yes GiffGaff is a reasonable choice. There is no contract and you choose to pay for a package which lasts for a month each time (e.g. £12 for 250 minutes, unlimited texts and internet). You can request a micro sim or nano sim for the iphone 4 and 5.

When I cancel my phone, just before September then I'll have a year left on my contract.
