Be as smiley as possible and try to make a friend in your form/tutorbase before school. Introduce yourself, ask what subjects they're taking, just start chatting to them and mention how nervous you are, chances are they'll introduce you to peeps. Just make sure to start conversations, don't rely on others! It'll be finee, 3 of my now closest friends started at the beginning of my 6th form and within a month they'd found themselves.
