My grandmother has spent a considerable amount of time with me over the past few weeks. During this time, she's repeatedly expressed a desire to end her own life.
Although I can sympathize with the contemplation of suicide I've never uttered the desire so frequently in a short space of time.
Obviously, I'm concerned. Any advice on how I should approach the situation?
She refrains from talking to me because of her antiquated view that adults should discuss their feelings with teens. Also due to some messed up family history, she's estranged from her own children and other grandkids besides my sister who lives in London.
