Basically I'm a guy with good grades, good career prospects, a nice family and so real close friends but yet I don't feel confident or happy with myself.

I like to socialise at times and when I am with a group of people who I like and am familiar with, I can be very chatty and articulate. The thing is I only like to do this ocasionally, say a couple of times a weak and yet everybody I know seems to go out far more, spend far more time with their friends and always seem to be drunk or doing something roudy.

Is it wrong that I only like to drink in moderation? Is it wrong that I like spending time with my family and not just friends all the time? Is it wrong that I am polite and don't swear all the time. Is it wrong that I enjoy my own company?

Should I change my personality or are there others like me? Sorry to sound so depressing but I just want to know that I am not alone in this world!

Just be yourself, why should you feel insecure of these things? No one else is judging you apart from yourself!

I'm 19 never drank in my life, though I can. I just choose not to.
I love being around my family, and I don't meet up with friends that often despite the fact I can talk somebody's ear off and I love being around people.
I hate it when people swear, it sounds so.. rude.

No, you are not weird. There are more of us, lol. :colonhash:

To be honest, I knew logically there would be. I just feel alone sometimes and need reassuring of these things.

I know how you feel. I get that a lot too

But it's fine. Why be like the other 99% when you can be different

Also, if you ever feel like talking, feel free to PM me :007:

Nope, you're just being you. Why would you want to be like everyone else?

Being yourself is much better, also people will respect you more. No-one likes someone who tries to be something they're not.
