Sex in Halls?

I am wondering what policies there are at Bham for people sleeping over in ones room? It it allowed at all? Or do we need to sneack people in and out. hehe it will be a nice atmoisphere!

general points which are often brought up upon questions such as these:

if a 'guest' is staying, they should in theory be registered in. but nobody ever does this. if guests are registered, they aren't mean to stay more more than three nights or something.

also, keep the noise down. i've not had any first had experience with this problem, but the person in the room next to me can sometimes hear moaning and screaming from the flat below. nice.

The american RA system doesn't exist over here, people come and go everywhere.

And yes keep the ****ing noise down unless you want everyone taking the piss out of you at breakfast time or whatever, the walls are paper thin and the beds very noisy...

people stay all the time! But like its been said, thin thin thin walls and ceilings, I dont want to hear anyone have sex(and havent) and i dont want people to hear me having sex (which i pray to god they havent)

If you're rule conscious though, you just submit their name and yours to your reception to say they're staying, and they say its fine, but you're meant to give 48hrs notice, but if you're talking about randoms, then no one really cares.

*prays people actually sometimes read the threads*

It's not single sex HALLS, it's single sex ROOMS. Purely for safety purposes.

Depends a little as to where you are in tennis courts its single sex flats but not blocks hence 5 guys live together but can easily jump up a flight of stairs to the two flats of girls. This is the same at maple bank and I believe its the same at Elgar. The Catered halls don't have seperate flats just floors so I assume that its just single sex rooms and then they mix it up. Either way there is no chance of being starved of opposite sex attention.
