Best catered halls to go in terms of social life it offers?
I know you can't select the halls on the application process but you can reject/accept offers. Which ones are the largest/more modern ones? I remember looking at some on an open day but can't seem to find what they're called online!
    Thanks

I have an offer to study at Nottingham in September and am planning on firming it in the next week or two. But I'm aware that Nottingham accommodation is allocated on a first come first serve basis. Basically how early should I be getting my application in for accommodation? should I go about it with some urgency?
    I'm planning on going catered
I think the application processed opened on the 1st of March.
It is first come, first serve, so I guess the earlier the better.
Although with catered you can't choose a specific hall, so at least if you apply early and really don't like where they put you, you have better chances of getting a place in a different hall.

It's up to you but I would apply now (if you are sure you want to firm Notts) but undergraduates have guaranteed accommodation so you won't be homeless.

These sites show more details about the halls of residence. The BBC site is a bit out of date, but it still has some useful pictures.

The social life in hall really depends on the people. There should be a good mix of people in all halls as allocation is random.
