A Safe role? Intelligence perhaps., or maybe not, I'm not sure how safe army Intelligence in comparison with front line roles.
    Military Police?

You could join the Navy and learn a trade and command others. In fact, why are you asking us? Why not just go to an AFCO near you?

House hold cavalry, blues & royals. Well i mean when your actually needed they'll be a bunch of bullet proof glass, SAS bodyguards, police, counter-terorrism units & MI6 to make sure you have no purpose in guarding the royal family. It's like they're paying you to be surrounded by heavily armed bodygaurds, that and cleaning the horses.

In all seriousness 2 A levels & 6GCSEs gets you most jobs in the forces in terms of qualifications.
