# Serial Dilution watch

1. You are carrying out a serial dilution of a 50.9mM FeCl3 stock solution. What is the concentration of FeCl3 (microM) in the final dilution, if you dilute 1ml of a 50.9 mM FeCl3 solution with 4 ml of water, and repeat this twice? Express your final answer to 3 significant figures?

How the hell do you do this????

Diluted first time 1ml => 5ml so divide conc. by 5 (as volume has increased by a factor of 5.)
Same process for the next two times.
Take 1ml out and dilute up to 5ml.
3. Thanks mate!!
