TBH in my opinion smart casual and wedding shouldn't go in the same sentence but it's their wedding and its what they want, so what the hell do I wear? It's in November so needs to be relatively warm and I really haven't a clue, I have a general rule of not wearing black to a wedding but my usual smart causal attire is black trousers and a nice top or black skirt with coloured tights and top, all my casual dresses are summery. I am so confused, I've never been to causal wedding before.

Anything casual with a blazer on top. I'd personally wear a pretty dress with some nice flats and a blazer.

    A trouser/skirt suit (not black)
    A dress with jacket/fur coat
    Long skirt/blouse with short jacket

That's pretty tricky to get right, especially since weddings are usually an 'all-out' dressy up affair aren't they. Any other guests you know going so you can see what they are thinking of wearing?

I would probably wear a dress with tights, heels (or boots?) and a blazer or smart jacket. If everyone is really dressed down you can always ditch the jacket and have a cardigan handy?
