    Hello

I am a mature student and hopefully applying for Sept 2014. I am in the process of getting my CRB for a children's centre who have said I can volunteer in baby clinic and any groups I want. Also may be getting some breast feeding support peer training.

Also got an application in for a hospital for a maternity ward a few hrs a week. The co-ordinator said it would be ok.

Also applied to support Midwifes in the community but its not a definitive if ill get that.

    Any other ideas?? x

To be fair, what you already have will put you at a very big advantage!
I got onto a course with experience in a hospital, just in general not midwifery specific. I also have experience in a first school and work in a shop too.
Just make sure your personal statement really boasts about what you have gained from the experience and how you can apply it to midwifery. Eg skills learnt.

    Hope this helps,

    Holly
