Does anyone know of some good ways to increase the battery life on my iPhone. I mostly use it for music on my travels. I don't play games on it, some Internet like apps to see train times etc, no email either but still it only lasts until around 7 even though its been charged for the night.

    Any help would be appreciated

Do you charge your phone over night?

wow 7 hours for just using it as an mp3?

that shouldn't be happening, are you sure your phone isn't sending/receiving data via 3G on a constant basis?

Try closing your apps and other things like settings and photos when u are done using them - press the middle button twice.

Do not turn off ur phone as it uses a lot of energy.

When listening to songs keep the brightness low.

Check thing's like mail, location services, wi-fi. I can get 2 days out my iPhone 5 even with the wifi on and light usage.

I just turn my brightness down, turn the location services off and use airplane mode where there is bad signal.

Also, consider trying a battery case. Just charge it up over night and you can carry it around all day if you find that your battery still runs out pretty fast. I have one and they're pretty good for emergencies.

The battery life on mine isn't the best either. When I need to get the battery to last the day, I usually turn off WiFi and 3G when not in use. Also, make sure Bluetooth is not on, and turn down brightness when you don't need it up high.

I dropped the flamming thing in water, so I've got another one so see how the battery is with this one.

I can get 2 days from mine with wifi, Bluetooth and 3G all turned on. I do have pretty light usage though as I use my iPad Mini quite a lot and I am in front of my work laptop all day.
