If its brand new, than use the warranty that will come with the laptop. Find the warranty number on the manual or just google search your laptop make warranty number and call them asap. Keep your reciept, in case they ask proof that you purchase it yourself.

If its second hand, than get a refund from the seller, its might not work but you can always try. Good luck.

"changing" in what way? To random (like bright green, magenta, etc.) colours or inverting the colours? If it's either of those, sounds like a loose connection to me.

Should be a cheap fix at any repair shop.
